different pins in the injection pump??

i was told that the 94-95 cummins had a different pin in the injection pump that would not let it feed over a 215 injector. is this true? im sure it is by hte way he sounded on the fone. i called enterprise engine performance and talked to doug at eep. he said it would skip and miss between 800 and 1400. if i take the fuel plate out, will that fix the problem? can i get a new pin from the injection shop and fix it myself? was he talking about the delivery valves? i dunno?

I would leave the plate in. I know we occasionally read where an owner is running without a plate. However, I have read post from members with allot of high power performance experience saying running without a plate is inviting trouble. It allows the rack to travel too far which can break some pin.... then it is pump money time.

Some owners experienced the so called "stumble" after going with large injectors fed by the 160hp pump. Installing larger delivery valves to correct this problem is common.

It seems to me that if that were the case we wouldn't be able to run 370s on a 160 pump. I haven't got that far yet but I have seen more then a bunch of people who have. I'll let you know about that so called stumble in a few weeks. I think you might want to read more of the members sigs and not listen to one person. These members know their CTDs like nobuddy else.
