Death Wobble

So I experienced the death wobble today for the first time.....not very fun to be honest, and it happened about a total of 5 times.

Just a little history. I put all new ball joints and a track bar in about 2-3 months ago and had a front end alignment done. I don't think it has been right since I had it done (normally I do this stuff myself, as I am a little **** about who touches the stuff I drive), but because of time constraints I had a local reputable shop do it, also a buddy of mine.

I have noticed some vibration in the truck and have yet to pinpoint where it is coming from, most notably at about 40 to 42 mph, feels like truck is hopping, not sure if it has anything to do with front end.

So today after I nursed it home I stopped at my parents house and had my step brother turn the steering wheel back and forth while I checked underneath the truck and noticed the bushing in the track bar appears to be shot already. What would possible make it go out already?

Any idea what to check or do?

Just watched a video on youtube that stated premature bushing wear can come from not replacing bolt when replacing track bar.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pb-FG...eature=related

I would also suggest torque the bolts to spec with both wheels on the ground. Otherwise you can preload bushings and cause early failure.

Also check the toe after you make your repairs to the bolts.

In a little is best, straight or out will cause the tires to do battle...

Got the bushing replaced and no more death wobble. However, I still have a slight vibration that I can't determine where it ma be coming from but I am thinking possibly a rotor.
