Anyone know the name of the aftermarket high quality one out of Florida, IIRC?

Mine just got it's first long crack from the windshield to the front of the dash. I suspect mine will need replacement soon.

 

sorry not sure about Florida but heard good things from LMC truck. maybe you can find what company LMC uses for dash's and go through them direct?

 

While mine needs to be done I have not pulled the trigger on it yet. However I have heard good things about the replacement that genos garage sells. Whether it is from Florida I am unsure.

I read a while back that the Florida manufacturer supposedly uses uv resistant plastic and offers a lifetime warranty. Also seem to think it is Geno's supplier.

I just checked Gino's and their is ABS plastic with "a U.V. resistant coating".

 

I replaced mine a few years ago, "Thanks Dodge", I bought mine from Dodge, the dealer gave me a discount when I did a little complaining.

Be prepared, it's a pain in the rear to change

 

yes so Im in the middle of a heater core and AC/ evap change out.

so since you will be doing all this for your dash take a look at your hvac box and goodies. It sucks to do the dash might as well make it more miserable of a chor and replace other stuff

 

When you pull the dash, it's a great time to at least blow out the heater and evaporator cores.
It's nearly impossible to clean out the box & cores by pulling the fan motor and using a small vacuum.
