dash cracking

can some of you guys fill me in on the reason that these dashes were cracking so bad, i thought it was just mine and over the last year everyone ive seen of the 2001 body style have that problem. i called the dealer and asked questions and he got real defensive and said that ford and chevy dashes crack just like this also.... which is a lie ive owned 2 chevy trucks and my dads had at least 5 some for work and home use and NONE of them had dashes that just cracked all over. and ive never seen a ford with a cracked dash like these older dodges.

Your dealer told you that because he didn't wanna hear what you had to say. You can buy a brand new lifetime replacement dash from Geno's Garage for $329 plus shipping. Find it here: http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo.asp?number=DRD8-1

Additionally, you can take a look at LMC Truck for help. Here's a link: http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/de/full.aspx?Page=85
