Dash

Ok have an 01, the dash is carcked as you all probably know who have one. Now is the a way to change the entire dash top out without messing with airbags, or am I stuck with the dash cap options. Also any good sources on instument cluster upgrades since i am working in that area already?

You can get a near perfect replacement dash. I'll go that route when mine starts losing pieces.

Disengaging the airbags is no big deal. Its explained in the factory service manual or you could search it on here....

there is a company that makes cluster overlays, but I can't remember what it is at the moment.

Go to LMC Truck and you can pick up an overlay type of a replacement type. I bought the replacement dash top, it's been sitting in my office for about 3-4 weeks now waiting for me to slow down enough to install it.

Think it was $199 for the dash plus the extra fee for shipping something so large.

Somebody did a right up on this, just do a search and it will pop up. They had pics and everything.

2nd Genos garage for an upper end replacement.

A good upholsterer should be able to match the color. Its called agate grey.

Yep found a replacement dash, was sum over 300 bucks but heck an upper end dash cap was around 200 bucks and over time will most likely turn loose and make a mess so 300 plus for a replacement is not to bad. Looking at the exhaust upgrades while I am there I think I need a lil more noise and maybe boost millage haha!

Geno's also has the paint so you can paint it yourself. I painted a pillar gauge mount and it matched the dash perfect
