CTD dually soon to be newby - few questions

Im looking at a 98 24v dually.

What is the largest off/on road (All terrain) tire size i can fit on the stock wheels, with no llift? If I add the 2" leveler, what is the biggest size?

Thanks.

Clearance will not be the real problem. Spacing between the dual is the gotcha. Too little, tires rub, go boom.

Im thinking 235/85/16 is the largest you can go without them rubbing with a load.

not sure about on the back with the dual wheels, but when I had just the leveling kit I has 33/12.50/16 which i believe is 275/85/16. I had no issues with rubbing at all, but again that was on a 2500 not a 3500

265's fit width wise on the rear, 285's with a spacer. You can get a 255/85R16 or comparable flotation size, without any worries of width for the rear, those are fairly tall.

I've seen trucks in mags with 44" Boggers, dualled in the rear. Those are 19.5" wide tires. The sky's the limit, all depends on how you want to build/use the truck.
