I'd guess a vacuum problem.

Check under the drivers side battery, then trace the lines from there looking for holes, loose "T"s, cracks, etc.

hi
i dont think it is a vac prob as i put a gage on the vac line at cowl and got 25 in at idel then turned off engine and had still 23 in after 10 min .?

but i just had an idea maby i should drive it with the vac gage hooked up ?

what else could be the prob , is there a speed sensor and how do i test it ?

It's your cruise control actuator, under the left battery. About 45-50 bucks from the dealer. When mine went bad it would surge as much as 15mph randomly, but most of the time after I hit a bump in the road.
