cruise control retrofit

I have a non cruise control 2000 I have been told that the ECM on the 24v has cruise built in to it, I was wanting to know if i got the factory switches from a salvage yard and the correct clockspring what else i would need to finish the install. Thanks

P.S. the factory aftermarket kit has been discontinued

Are there really different clocksprings? I'd think that all trucks had the same clockspring, just with different things on either side of it.

There's a factory kit that I added to my 2002 that came without cruise. It contained the vacuum throttle actuator, the steering wheel switches, and yes, a new clockspring (the orig clockspring only had wiring for the airbag). Everything plugged right into existing points in the harness.

So if you get those parts from salvage it should just work.
