cause we like to talk about it. I feel it's like a local bar atmosphere but we can meet here and talk over our dodge sorrows and make each other feel better. BTW, what was that 1-800 number again.

I broke down and bought a dash cover, not a carpet mat, but a molded plastic cover. It looks okay. They had color choices, so I called to make sure I got the right color, but of course I didn't. I spray painted it. It's close to the original cover, but by no means a match. I'm certain the $150 is worth not looking at the cracks. I did get it in before I lost any chunks.

I sold my 99, and because I have a weak heart and felt bad selling the truck with a cracked dash. The dealer can't get me a tan dash pad anymore, so I was forced to order one from LMC trucks. Got it in 2-3 days, and the color seems to match pretty well. I haven't installed it yet but it looks good in the house.

My 96 has 142K miles and the Original NOT cracked dash......in fact I have never seen a cracked dash on any 2nd gens in this area.......

Then again I got 100K on the OEM track bar before the death wobble, still going strong on the oem unit bearings....oem shocks....

And to think, I plow snow with it....

Guess I'm just lucky...
