cooler on side of motor

cooler on side of motor

What is this cooler bottle for(tranny cooler?) My lines are shot on both ends and I was wondering if their was an upgrade or better way. Thanks.

Welcome to the board !! Fill up your signature section so we know what you have.
I assume you refer to the oil cooler to the right rear side of motor. That's an exchanger and cools off your transmission fluid before going to the front radiator. Used motor coolant to transfer temp to oil.

That would be what I was talking about. Can you eliminate this or is their a nice upgrade? Mine is looking not so hot and I would like to do the best thing for it while I can get to is since I have my head, turbo, and manifold off.
