Cleaning the fuel tank

I'm installing the Vulcan LP reloction kit next weekend. I've read on this group somewhere, and heck if I can find it now, about the screens on the tank draw straw getting clogged with junk. Since I'm dropping the tank I'm also installing a new Vulcan draw straw and extenal in-line filter.

My question is: If I find sludge in the tank, how do I clean it out and what do I do with it?

Just did the big line and walbro conversion. My tank was clean. You could eat out of it. Allthough it would probably taste a bit funny. We had trouble getting ALL the fuel out. Maybe a pint or 2 left in there. If not a lot of sludge, maybe some towels and scoop it out. You prolly wont find anything. I have about 127K on my truck.
