has anyone here had any trouble with the black plastin on top of the bumper gettin kina fade/milky/chalky looking, i will treat it with som plastic and vinyl junk i got at the auto paint place it will help but it only last a day or two.... >

yeah, my bumper is the same way. i use meguiars vinyl shine and it works great until it rains.

I gotn na bummperr sntuck tooo daa rooff off myyy mouthh! <br> DC put out a TSB on that, they said wash it with a mild detergent while scrubbing with a soft brush, If my memory serve me right. One of those customer satisfaction fixes!<br>

 

No, it isn't sticky and gooey like you would think. A soft brush works well, just rub it in, give it a try. I forgot to mention in my first post, if you want to turn your black trim items white very quickly just use the wax at your local car wash. Also messes up your tires. Never use that stuff.<br><br>Michael

Around here I bet the yellow Jackets would eat me alive if I tried to use peanut butter!

I don't even go to the local organizations car washes. You know, High School Cheer Leaders, Youth groups, Church groups going somewhere, Band Trips, etc, car wash. When I see a group I'd support, I drive through and donate some bucks for the cause, give 'em a wave and see the relief in their faces for not having to wash this big ol' truck . Maybe I'm just paranoid but I had '97 Ram, 1500, chestnut brown in color, paint would scratch to the undercoat with just a mean glance. Wouldn't dare let Top near it, would be stripped to the metal. <br><br>~Dave

 

I was refering to those self service spray car washes. The also have a wax cycle that I used to use and talk about making your tires and black trim look bad! But the peanut butter works. Just get a spoonfull and run out to the garage and give it a try. When those yellow jackets come around, just ignore them.<br>Michael

 

The Armor all wipes work great.

 

Armor All and stuff like that looks nice for a little bit, but it will actually dry the plastic out quicker.

 

Im going to try zaino leather soft on it... its worked wonders on other things and im wondering if it will work on the bumpers... its worth a shot lol<br>
