Cab Light Problems
Cab Light Problems
I went to change out the Cablights on my 1996 12v to LED Lights today. They have not been touched once since it left the factory. They were all pretty much rusted into the cab light plastic housing. I was able to get two of the five cab light screws conpletely out and got the new LED cab lights in and they look wicked bright and alot better than stock. Only problem is only 2 have LED and the other 3 have stock halogen bulbs. The screws in the other 3 are eithor rusted in or were previously rounded off by the previous owner. Need help and have to get the other three plastic housings off to change out thoe bulbs also. Any ideas or thought are greatly appreciated....Thanks alot, Tom.
Someone messed them up since it left the factory, apparently..
I would try an easy out type of screw removal device or opt for drilling them thru and then opening up the hole 1 size and use the appropriate size screw...with anti-sieze.
You may want to hit them with a drop of Kroil or PBlaster..
Last ditch would be drop the headliner and get after them from the bottom.
