A/C Problem

I'm having a problem with my A/C in my 02 this summer. I've owned the truck since 2005 and the A/C has work fine untill this summer.

A/C is blowing warm. I can hear the compressor cycle every few seconds, one line under the hood gets very cold and the other gets hot. My BIL has A/C gauges and is going to come over when he isn't working and see what the pressures are.

I did stick a hose to the evaporator and washed it a few weeks ago when I noticed my A/C wasn't working right. I rinse a lot of crud out of it.

Sounds like it is low on refrigerant, It is shutting off on low pressure. You can buy kits to do it yourself but if you know some one with gauges it is better to do it that way.

Put a little dye in it when you recharge so that you can look for the leak next time it gets low.
