a/c only blows defrost!

a/c only blows defrost!

finally hit 80 on the way home turned a/c on it will only blow on the windshield turned ac off to try heater or just blow any where but windshield no luck any ideas?

i had the same thing happen with my 97, theres a little vacum like thing up under the dash i just pushed the plunger down and wired it.

Check vacuum lines. If I remember correctly, there should be 1 line under the hood that goes from a tee on the drivers side, near the brake booster, over to the pass side. it pokes through the firewall with the AC lines or heater core lines, can't remember which.

It'll be black plastic. When mine broke, it made the cruise control act sluggish.

The actuator goes to defrost when it has no vacuum on it.

Just got done fixing mine. The line came unclipped from the cowl and fell onto the downpipe. I wondered what that smell was...

Just find the leak and splice it back together.
