A/C acting up
so the A/C on this truck doesn't seem to be acting right. It doesn't matter what setting I use, if I'm in traffic long enough, or if on the road long enough, it will occasionally just kick out and start blowing warm air. when it is blowing cold, its real cold. I've tested the freon and the system <45psi (as it should be, i think). the thing is, it doesn't only do it at idle (as if its a fan clutch) or at every light even. It also does it when going down the highway sometimes. It is very intermittent but with 100* temps outside these days, it warms up quick when it happens.
I've taken it in, and of course it only acted up once in the 2 days they had it... and that was when i went down to pick it up to leave and it acted up so I made a u-turn... got back just in time for them to test the low pressure switch (good) before it clicked back on.
any ideas? or similar problems?

Not an AC expert, but I think 45psi is to high, probably freezing up. I believe it should be 35psi, low pressure side with ac on high and engine running. Surley an ac expert will chime in here.
Mine is leaking freon, some where.....

ok, so the gauge i used to measure it was on the top off bottle I picked up at the auto parts store. but to be sure, when i took it in, they did a full A/C diagnostic and all checked out perfectly.

Check to see if the a/c clutch clearance is correct, if the gap is too wide when the clutch cycles off it stays off. tends to happen after a/c is run awhile and heats up expanding the gap. If the shop doesn't know to check that take it somewhere with a competent tech. I know, they are hard to find
