Boost tube question

When I installed my guages a couple years ago, I tapped the top of the intake horn to install my boost tube. It's getting crimped from when I do maintanence (fuel filter change, lift pump change, etc.). Now I would like to relocate it to the side of the intake horn. Would it be possible to use something to plug up the existing hole that was tapped?

I would think that a brass pipe thread plug will to the trick.

You could also push the small tubing though some larger tubing like 1/4", keeps it from kinking.

Pipe plug in the tapped hole would do the trick for relocating.

There are several different places to remount the boost port...

* There is a port that replaces the manifold bolt and gives you a 1/8 NPT for hook up.
* There are pipe plugs under the manifold for hook up... Need to have adapter to make it work.
* Or the method your doing but relocate to a better spot... (drill & tap)

I'm sure there are others here that got ideas on this... I going to need it soon myself... Check the sig!
