Blower only works on defrost mode

I recently switched the relay for the fuel shutoff soleniod, upon doing so I disconnected the Heater Relay. I put everything back together and now I only get the air to come out of the defrost vents. I have tried every setting, hot-cold, but it only comes out on defrost. I checked the relay again on the heater, it seemed fine, no bent prongs, or loose wires coming from the wire loom. The only thing that I can think of, is in a prior post I read some said that it is vacuum powered and that one of the lines may have come loose???

Any thoughts.

Thanks,

That's definitely a possiblity. I had a line melt after it came loose from the ties and fell down on the turbo. defrost is all I got after losing vacuum

Mine went to defrost some time ago and I found a vacume line off at the firewall on the drivers side. I was playing with the stink rubber thing that keeps the engine are out of the intake vent for the AC.

I had to replace the defrost actuator arm when mine did the same thing.

I have a vacuum line just above the AFC housing that I knock off every time I do anything in the AFC area. I go for a test drive and stop at the first stop sign and hook it back up and all is ok again. I would start by looking for any loose vacuum lines. Good luck and lets us know what you find.
