It is under dash on pass. side. Behind blower motor. Two screws and a wiring harness to remove. Hope that helps.
IIRC, when the resistor goes, u only have high. Might trouble shoot some more. Napa sells a resistor for 50 - 60$. And has lifetime warranty.

have you noticed any noise when your fan comes on? if you do, the bearings are probably dry and causing the resistor to burn out.........it happened to mine. i replaced the resistor two times before i replaced the blower....

you can take the resistor out and inspect it....you should be able to tell if it's bad, the resistor wires are encased in some kind of ceramic material . when they go bad the ceramic will look burnt and possibly cracked ..... while you have it in your hands, it's a good time to test it with an ohm meter....good luck

I replaced the resistor in my truck with one pulled from the junk yard for a couple $$. No problems now for 4 years.

Its 99% the resistor.

Clean out all the debris in there when you remove it, I mad a reducer for my shop vac out of a funnel, clear plastic tubing and some duct tape. There was a slot of needles and leaf debris in mine!

You can also check for corrosion on the terminals of the resistor. Thats was my problem. But I had already ordered a new new resistor so in it went

Unplug resistor, use a test light and test each wire at each fan speed. A different one should light up with each speed. If you get power to one wire at each speed, resistor is bad, and not the ****. And we've had quite a few Chrysler products come into our shop for resistors where the fan burns the thing up. So while ur in there, might as well replace the blower if ya got the funds, just in case.

Good advice on checking the blower motor. When I see a blower resistor or its connector burn up, I check the current draw of the blower on high. If it's over 18 amps, it gets a new blower motor. Typically a good motor draws 15 amps.
