GM blower motor resistor. 50+ dollars????

So my aunt has an '01 Grandprix and it has fallen victim to GM's blower motor issues. Has anyone dealt with this?? GM wants 56 bucks for a resistor?????

Am I way off base here or is this thing really a 5cent radio shack resistor? if it is, does anyone know the resistor number so I can save over 50 dollars on this?

I would have a looksie, but being as its freekking buried I really dont want to rip it apart, and find out im dead wrong, put it back together, wait a day and do it agian. Thanks guys!

Frontiers are notorious for that problem too.

I dont think $50 is outragious for a gm part.

I got one at autozone for sunfire for about $28. It worked well. I would one for a Grand Prix would be similarly priced. My brother-in-law got one for his alero for about the same price.
