Better Headlights needed.

Re:Better Headlights needed.
I had the headlights on my wife's car done at my local service station. They had a alignment kit that they calibrated using the car's wheels and then set the lights accordingly. It cost about 30 bucks. Well worth it. I've also used the garage door method. Park about 8 feet away, turn the lights on and you can see how even they are and where they're shining.

I have used the "garage door" method many times. Works great. I have even put marks on the door where I want the lights to hit. Took me a long time of anjusting to get them in the sweet spot.
Aaron

Just got back from Schuck's Auto. Looked at Cool Blues and Silver Stars. Package for 9004, 9004CB and 9004ST all state 65/45 Watts. I went for the Silver Stars 39.99 minus a 10 dollar mail in rebate. I will post later tonight about what I think. SNOKING

I have had the Silver Stars for about two weeks now. Got 'em on sale +$10 mail in rebate.

With the limitations of our stock headlamp buckets, I am happy to report that the light seems more directional and definately whiter. I don't know if it's all that much brighter, but with the driving lamps on, I can see a pretty good area. I did have to adjust them both up and left, but that's no biggie!

Just my .02

Well, I just did a night time road test with the new SilverStar lamps. They are much whiter!!!!! No more washed out yellow light. High beams are much better. I think a rainy night will be a good test. So far the 29.99 plus tax (with mail in rebate) was a good investment. SNOKING

Yep! I just installed the Silver Star's and they are bright. Package sez 12 volts, 65/45 watts. So no problem with higher wattage.
