Re:Any 2500 4X4s Without Swaybars?

Well, after I put my front driveshaft back on, I moved forward to remove the front sway bar (anti sway bar?)

Lo and behold, none of my sockets would fit.
Don't have any deep sockets in the metric size, biggest ones I had were old sparkplug (??) sockets, one was a little too big, the other a little too small.
Grabbed my limited selection of open end wrenches (SAE only, no metric) and they wouldn't fit either.

Guess it's time to invest in some deep well metric sockets and metric open end wrenches for my American Made Truck .

Didn't have funds or time to run to the nearest Sears (or Autozone), so I'll have to try again next week maybe.

Anyone know what size the nuts on the sway bar are?
There appears to be two different sized nuts, one on the axle side, another on the sway bar side.
(I was just going to disconnect, and swing the bar up and out of the way, temporary, then totally disconnect if it worked ok)

Maybe I can just start with a few sizes till I have more tool money soced away.

phox

My truck is a combination of Metric and Standard bolts AND Torx bits. I've had to get a whole new tool setup because of this truck.
