Antilock Brake Light
Antilock Brake Light
HAs anyone had this happen? I was just driven down the road and the ABS/Brake light comes on, while not using the brakes or anything. My truck is an 03 2500, 4X4. I have never had to make a panic stop. The antilock brakes have never had to pulsate due to a emergency stop or slippery road surfaces. I have only had the truck for about a month. It has been back to the dealer but it does not show any codes in the computer nor any stored codes.???????????????????????????????????????
Re:Antilock Brake Light
The rear end has a sensor that will set it off and not give codes. I put a bearing kit in my series 80 and replaced the sensor (no more dash light). Also make sure the dope in the gear set is set a little BELOW the hole and gets changed every
30k, not with synthetics if you are heavy hauling. (Please don't flame me for this as I run NEO in everything else I drive)

Re:Antilock Brake Light
In my '99, that sensor in the rear differential is called a speed sensor. With the sensor on the fritz, your brakes will work normally, but your ABS system is disabled. Should be covered under warranty.
