I still like the idea, I think I'll look into it a little more, but I want to do it myself. How much material you think I need? 2 gallons? Remember, reg cab longbed........

I think you would need more like 3 or 4 gallons to do a whole truck. Ive got 3/4's to 7/8's on my rockers/lower part of truck. This would depend on thickness ofcourse.

And wouldn't it hold a lot of heat in the summer ? seems like most beds i have seen lined are warmer than un lined ones

yes on my rockes and bed they are hot in the summer. burn my dogs butt, or was that the stack I had..
my only concern if I did the whole truck is I may not do the hood just paint it black due to heat from the engine and heat from the sun. dont know what that combo would do or not do.
