Air Intake

Will be going to JC Whitney this weekend and am looking to buy either a K&M high flow filter or a complete Volant air system. Am trying to get an idea of what you guys think is better. Cost is not an issue. Thanks and HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!

Re:Air Intake

I have been using the k&n cold air injection kit for around 30,000 now and it's done a great job. Not the replacement filter for the stock box, I threw that away. This is a cone filter that replaces your stock box. For my 99 they list it as racing only until they get the emissions approved, but it works great for my farm truck that gets alot of highway miles. Sit back and listen to that turbo sing.

ozzie:

Welcome to the website!!

I agree with "bulthisl!" There is nothing wrong with
a K&N, but the Scotty II System is a very, very good
air filter system which "works as advertised!"

I have one on my 96' 12 valve and have seen my
EGT's drop over 150 degrees. Re:Air Intake

as you can see I've got a K&N drop in and was talking to a guy in my town who has a dually also said that his cone type K&N was too noisy for him.
I guess some people like turbo whine but I prefer red wine.
