I have had this problem for 2 summers now. AC is charged up and blows cold to 45*. While driving only on the highway it will blow warm air unless I go down hill or let up from the throttle when hitting the exit ramp. Mash the throttle air turns warm instantly. It will blow cold while "idling" around town. I am thinking its a vaccume problem but where to start?

It was 61* here yesterday and I darn near melted. Not looking forward to another summer w/o air.

 

Had basically the same problem with my 02 after having the evap coil replaced @ 14k miles by dealer. Problem has been solved, so far, by having the system evacuated as there was air in the system. Dealer covered "repair", going back to dealer today to have them "sniff" for leaks, been one week w/no probs, nice cold a/c.
