Air bag sensor gone bad?
Air bag sensor gone bad?
Hey guys,
Air bag light is on, got it read, said front impact sensor, so what does this mean? Any tips on how to diagnose if the sensor has gone bad? Can I just jump it out or something? Oh, the mechanic that read the code for me said chances are its not the clockspring because the cruise control is working and there is no clicking noise when i turn the wheel. So it has to be the sensor I think, i just dont want to go throwing parts at it.

More than likely the sensor is fine, the problem is an unplugged, wet or dirty connector.
Problem is there are three sensors, you'll have to figure out which one to look at. One under each battery and one at the center of the dash at the floor.

I figured it was a broke wire somewhere but I have no idea how I can go about figuring out which wire it is. I got the air bag computer scanned and all it said was front sensor short. have any ideas how I can locate the short?
