Thanks for the replies on my instrument light question. Trying to separate the molded halves of the cover on the steering column to get at the headlight switch, I couldn't find any pressure points to pop it apart and don't want to break anything. Any suggestions ?? Thanks

I'm amazed. Surely someone out there knows how to separate those halves without breaking them ??

Are you sure they just pop apart?
The ones I've dealt with have two torx screws holding them together from the bottom.

 

Cleverly hidden though.

 

Ah, OK, I went and looked at it again. It's in 2 sections, each with a torx screw. The upper one, closest to the steering wheel is the one I want, and that's the one I pulled the screw out of. The lower clips popped apart OK, but the upper ones wouldn't let go, even with some careful prying with a knife. I don't see a pressure point anywhere on there.
