AC Line connections q's?
AC Line connections q's?
So it might be a dumb question but.....
I need to replace the condensor and drier(since the system has been opened for a couple of days). How do I get the wierd flange looking things apart? I figure I better ask before I break something not already broken. Every system I have ever worked on had screw together joints. Thanks in advance.

System should be evacuated of all air, and vacuum leak tested at same time if it's been open, even for a few days without freon(need to bring to a/c shop). You can do without, but drier desicant will be saturated way too soon(and cause other internal corrosion problems).
Are you sure you found all the leaks? You may need a freon sniffer, to be sure you only do it once. If you're doing this and refilling by yourself, change out all o-rings that were disturbed(+/or sweating), and put a/c pag oil on them before install. Make sure you don't overfill with freon, and add a little a/c pag oil with it(some cans have oil in already with leak stop).
I don't like repairing it this way if you want to keep truck, and avoid future costlier repairs.
