I have looked high and low for any information about connecting a handsfree hokup for a Motorola. I fitted the kit yesterday no problem. <br><br>My question is, whether anybody knows if there is a wire or a connection from the back of the radio in my 2003 2500 that allows the handsfree kit to mute the radio.<br><br>I have an orange wire from the handsfree kit that hopefully can connect to a point on the back of the radio.

 

I'm looking for the same thing.. Did you ever find anything out?

 

Contact Bob at Mr Bob's Distributing http://www.roadmasteractivesuspension.com/index.htm. He used to carry a real slick hands free kit which wired into the radio harness and used the radio just like the fancy factory units. It automatically mutes the radio when in use. Under $200.

 

I've got the car kit already, but thanks for the info. I just need to know if the stock radio has a mute feature I can plug into. I'll check out the webiste, maybe I can find something there. Thanks again.

 

that wire is for aftermarket kits. I don't think any of the newer units have that feature. I do think the wire on my Pioneer is orange also tho
