NO WAY! Unless you are looking for a lifted truck on big rubber like that. I know a lot of guys who have lifted their trucks high enought to clear 38s like that, then hated it because of the premature wear on all the front end components. Of course there are exceptions to this, but I think if you were to put a poll up, more would say no to a big lift than yes. Also, 99s are likely to have more that 120k on the clock, which isn't many miles at all for these trucks, but in good condition they are booking for around 14k. Also, is this a private party selling, or a dealer? I don't think I will every buy a used truck from a dealer again. Less headache and your money goes further if you can secure your own loan through a finance company and buy from a private party. I've seen 01s in the classifieds on this site going for that.

NADA and kelly both show 16,300.00 to 16,600. for retail but kelly shows a private party price of 12,500. That's using my 99s mileage of 189,000 miles.

If it was bone stock and had maybe 110,000 its not a bad price. The guy has it all screwed up with that lift kit . That devalues it no mater how much money he wasted on it.
The Kelly price doesnt mean squat because you are not going to find one at the Kelly price. They sell higher than the kelly price at the auction.

I have been saying this for a long time - and keep thinking It's going in and out of our ears! Lift kits always depreciate the value of a truck! It's worth more stock. As it is, it may look nice (and it does) but it's hard to tow with, haul with, etc, etc, etc. I would keep looking....

That would be the "Ford Owned Cummins" model. 
You also might want to ask if it's a 53 block too. My 99 is a 53,,,,, but at least I've owned it since new and know its history. Just something else to consider.
I would look for something newer if it was me. JMO

My friends trans shop makes a pretty good liveing repairing screwed up pinion bearings on all these high lifted freeway flyer trucks. Most run them till the bearing burns up and the rearend seezes up. Pretty funny. Boy they look cool though

just went thru the same process of searching for my CTD. listed prices mean squat. the CTD's that do come up on Auto traders at decent prices get jumped on so fast, you never have a chance.
somone correct me if I'm wrong..... truck/car listings run first in local bargain post for at least a week. this gives local folks a shot at deals first.
the 12k original miles CTD's for $9850 deals are gone days before national listings. called way too many deals simular to be told SOLD yesterday.
finally found my 97 CTD locally. national autotrader bargains are far and few inbetween. at least that's my experience, your mileage may veri....
