I am looking at a 95 , long bed, 4x4, SLT, 5 speed,Diesel,136k mileswith 4 in stack.
Ac does not work,dead batteries. rusted break lines.
rear window leaks. I have not heard it run ?

What is it worth????

I have a '01 24v for $ 6500 and it's in A LOT better shape than that.

$ 4000 would be a high price for it.

 

I don't know where you got your 01' for 6500 but 4000 does not sound all that bad considering the rates of decent running ones...I payed 6000 for my truck with 130 on the ticker in pretty good shape and I got a steal.

Sounds like a good price to me depending on what all else is done to the motor besides the exhaust. Someone modding it not knowing what they was doing could make it worth alot less than that. I'd keep checking into it and find out what mods have been made and how much blow-by it has and if regular maintenance has been made. If it all checks out and all that is wrong is what you stated then I'd say its a good deal for 4K.

Here in oregon the motor and transmission are worth $4,000... You guys get cheap trucks but they are almost all rusty(east coast and midwest rust sux...)

Make em an offer of what ever you think is right, if they say no then don't buy it.
