I know that a few of you have installed the tailgate marker lites on a 2500. My question is..... Where did you tie the leads into to power them? I would think that the licence plate lites are the easiest.<br><br>Thanks, Jeff

 

Jeff the plate light is easiest but not the best unless you got LED's. If they are regular bulbs go to the trailer marker light supply as this has a higher tolerance for extra bulbs. Just pick it up at the trailer plug and your headlight switch will not be the wiser going through the trailer relay. PK

 

I have not looked into this yet, so it may be obvious.<br>How do you fish the wires through the tailgate, to the bottom.? I have some LED marker lights that I want to mount on the tailgate like the factory light bar.<br>Thanks,<br>Robbie

truck stops are starting to carry led lights, My 3500 has a hole in the bottom of the tailgate just above the plate

 

Careful the &quot;C&quot; word will be said in this post :-X I bought the chevy LED lights for my Ram. I installed it just above the licence plate. I lowered the licence plate so the LED won't touch the tailgate when its down. I connected the wires to the license plate lites. I had to modify the rear of the unit but that was just a little sanding and cutting, nothing a dremal couldn't handle. I've had them for about 8months now no problems. They were the smallest and brightest. I just took some pics of them but I have to download them from the digital camera. I should have them up this weekend. ;D

 

did this to my lights, Got the LED Lights from a Pilot truckstop and tapped into the Plate light. The lights are on the lower tab of the tailgate and the wire is fished through a hole in just behind the tailgate.<br><br>
