2nd gen Dodge body swap

I have a 1997 dodge, if I swap the cab to a newer one like 1998.5-2002 the 24v cabs, will it be plug and play or will the bulk head connector be different then a cab that came with the 12v?

Different dashboard - incompatible wiring.
You would need to salvage the dashboard and the interior wiring from your old cab.

I don't know what you mean by bulk head connector. I thought you meant the electrical connections through the firewall, and the PDC, PCM etc. All that is incompatible.

I think there are some differences in the floorpan for 2WD/4WD and Auto/Stick variants, also something different between wheelbases and door configurations.

If you can access the factory service manuals for the donor and recipient years you can look at the frame dimensions drawings and find the differences.

Or maybe ask @oliver foster on here, he sells used Dodge Ram parts- maybe he has something for you
