2nd gen Deathwobble?
My brother had a 94' 1500 reg cab 4x4. It would set to vibrating and bucking to the point he was afraid it would fly off the road. He changed tires, tie rod, adjuster sleeve, and rod ends. Got an alignment and it never happened again. Was this Death wobble?
What is Death wobble?
PS I know it isn't about a diesel but I thought this was the best place for a 2nd gen ram question of this sort.

Usually death wobble occurs only in straight axle trucks. Were the 1500's straight axle? Sounds similar to death wobble though. Usually with DW the truck will drive fine until a certain speed or bump sends the front end into a violent harmonic vibration. Check out the videos on thuren's site if you want to see what it really looks like.
My Ram has not done this, but I used to have a lifted 1979 ford F150 that would do this, It did it so bad one time that the passenger door opened! This truck was straight axle and I was scared to death to drive it sometimes. It felt as if the tires were egg shaped is the best way to describe it. For the longest time I couldnt figure out what it was, then I finally narrowed it down to the track bar bushings, I changed those bushings and it never happened again.
Sounds right. the 1500s were strait axled. and thats what dws the old ford 1/2 tons. the leaf sprung fords would do it if the tie rods were wore and dodges do it alot for a lot of reasons(4-link coil sprung front ends and lots of weight up front)
