Hello, finally got my truck running. 2002 3500 dually. I'm working on the radio now. Mine had a cheap cassette stereo stuck in the hole. Not working and all wires had been cut. Don't have the original clip for the radio. Seems like the original wires (harness) are there, just cut.

Friend had a 2005 radio/cd out of his 2500 series and has 2 clips and a pig tale (about 8 inches of wire). One is about 1 1/2 inches long by 1/2 wide. Has two rows of pins. Also has a smaller clip--about 1/2 by 1/2 inches also with to rows of pins.

I just don't know which is the power supply out of the stock harness on the 2002 or the power supply into the radio/cd on the 2005 radio.

Does anyone have a wiring schematic showing the wiring on the 2002 and the 2005??? Would really appreciate any help on this. Thanks, Joe.

 

I don't have the schematics, but I think the smaller one is power and the larger one is for the speakers. If the radio you want to install is the Infinity (upgraded OEM Dodge), it will most likely not work as they use amplifiers in the doors.

I replaced mine a few years ago with an aftermarket radio, polk audio speakers, sub woofer, and amplifiers to drive the speakers. I love the way it sounds now.
