1998 quad cab without suicide doors?
hello all
I looked at this truck for sale today and was wondering why it is a
'98 quad cab but doesnt have the suicide doors on it? I was under the assumption '98 was the year for back doors on the quad cab. Truck was made in June of '98 and it is a 24 valve. Its a nice 4x4 truck, auto with short bed and 109 K miles for $14,000 but Im not sure if I want to go near a 53 block on an early 24 valve.

So the club cab doesnt have doors? My bad, I assumed all extended cabs had suicide doors after '98. The truck has an coolant leak but I couldnt tell where it was leaking from, Im guessing maybe the block, so I will take a wide walk around it and keep looking.

Kinda rare to have a 24V club cab. The club cab was the older configuration and I would guess that most club cabs would have been built with the 12V engine.

Coolant leak: check the passenger side of the block for source. It could have a cracked 53 block. 98 models had a Quad-Cab (four doors) or a Club Cab (two doors).

Thanks JS
Between the 234 codes thrwn twice while I drove it, and the possibility of a cracjed 53 block, I called the seller and said I am not interested. If the truck is still for sale next week when I am back in the area he said I can take the truck home for further research. It lppks to have the original LP and VP. Its a nice clean 24v with a 5" lift and low mileage.

I know this tread is old but I've been looking at them page by page. My brother just bought a 98 12 valve quad cab but I have also been a bunch of 98 and up Dodges at the junkyard that are just extended cab with no rear doors.
