Question 1998 2500 Diesel tire size
Is the computer in a 1998 truck programable for tire and rim size changes such as from 16" to 17"?

Companies like Superlift do make some calibration products for the electronic speedos. Might want to check out Skyjacker too.

Bad example there is a 1.4" diameter difference in those two tires 245/75-16 is 30.4 inches tall, the 245/75-17 is 31.8 inches tall.

Try again, I think you are changing the aspect ratio.

245/75-16 is 30.4"

265/75-16 is 31.7

245/75-17 is 31.8

245/70-17 is 30.3

All above numbers are from the Tirerack data base on tire specs.
