The drivers side back door on my '02 quad cab won't open. More particularly the bottom latch isn't un-latching, the top one still does. I took the door panel off and took the inside door handle out and messed with it. When I put the handle back on it started working and worked for a couple of weeks. I did'nt really fix anything in the door the first time I had it apart because I still couldn't reach or see all that much even with the door panel and handle off.

Has anybody come across this problem or know of a fix for it?

 

sounds like the bottom rod came off i would take it apart again and try and get a look at it.

 

That's it. Same thing happened to mine. Take the door panel loose/off and reattach and adjust the rod to the handle.
