Is your automatic any quieter than ?

My 02 Ram ST(workin, truck) Cummins HO 6 speed, 4.10 gears. She really hums at highway speeds over 55. I've been blastin the tunes to drowned out the noise. 6 inches of snow on the hood helps, but it's warming up. Any suggestions?

The engine. Anything above 2,000 rpms. Would underhood insulation help? My 99 gasser 2500 SLT had it.

yeah mine roars pretty good above 2000 .......so I always cruise at 2000 but with my 3.55's and 33" tires that's about 70mph

Thanks for the information. ATP seems to be the most professional way to go, but I'll have to put in some over time to pay for that kit.(wow) Hearing aids are expensive too! First week member, good web site and alot of info. Thanks again!

I think the HO's might be a little louder than the SO's are in the engine compartment. More combustion noise from the higher compression? Could be my imagination too.
