Yet another transmission 4wd problem
Yet another transmission 4wd problem
Will not go into 4wd
After a 5 speed trans and two 6 speed trans and 3 transfer cases I'm ready to buy a Ford.
I read the threads about the red and black "hoses" which look more like 12 gauge wire. Neither of them have any vacuum that I can detect. I pulled the 4 hose rubber connection off the top of the transfer case and cannot detect vacuum there.
Where does the friggin vacuum come from?
The one time a year I need 4wd and it pukes on me. I'll never buy another Dodge product.
What *** is wrong with mechanical linkage. How about a lever that engages the front end.

At the cowl there is a plastic vaccum line running side to side. there is a T in it right over your fuel filter area. A rubber line runs down into a plastic gray or white line. This feeds the Tcase. Check your lines and make sure none are cracked or flaking.
