I just sold my truck and I am in need of a replacement fairly quickly. I found a '99 with close to 300k on it. It is a QCLB 4WD NV4500. I haven't looked at it in person yet, however the pics look good enough to take a trip.

My thought is that the engine "should" go 5-600k without problem, yes? And it will probably need 2-3k in fixes to get it there.

The asking price is 6700. I think it may be worth close to that if the VP has recently been replaced and there has been some front end repairs done recently. If not I am thinking of offering 4700 to allow for some repairs.

Also, I looked at an '01 and could not locate the engine block casting #. I could use some help for the location of this.

The asking price is pretty fair if the body is good and clean. I think the #53 is not as common in '01 as it was in the 3 previous yrs. 500k on the engine is no prob, stuff wrapped around and attached to it, questionable.

 

my dads 01 just went over 500k and still going tossed the lift pump the other day and now has the 216 code so 500k on the first vp44 is good news to me about the 01 stuff never done anything to it but maintain it and it just kept going and going
still runs but in limp mode and is starting to burn oil thinking it is the valve seals still go's like stink
