WOT
WOT
I'm traveling up a steep grade tonight (empty) and decide to see how my truck accelerates up the hill. I slowly begin to accelerate and when I reached WOT, the RPM's dropped about 100 and it seemed like I was losing power.

Is this a sign of something, or is going WOT a bad thing to do?
Re:WOT
I think that's called a GOVERNOR !!
What were your RPMs? These trucks are governed so you don't blow it up. I think the engines are a little costly and you don't want to have to buy a new one!!
Oh, by the way, mine does it, my best friends 02 does it, and my 92 that I use to have did it also...

Re:WOT
You might also been DEFUELING at a certain RPM and or BOOST. the truck will feel like nothing else happens with the GO pedal pushed, If you want to help this, Buy a box as in an EDGE or Bully Dog.
Danny

Re:WOT
Welcome to the site!

Get a Govenor spring kit, they come in the 3k and 4k versions.
On a stock truck I have seen them start defuling at 2300 rpm. Then if you have gages and want more power add a plate. The plate will give you more fuel so you will need to adjust your wastegate but dont let the boost get over 36 psi with the stock turbo. Good luck and welcome to the site. If you need any help you can PM me.

J.R.
