Well, you can put a pusher pump on. Install the PE4200 pump, a Holley Black, or go with the Cummins pump. I did the Black and I get 16.6 at idle and 13 at WOT with pump wire hoooked up. ;D You can get all of it from Rod.

Re:Fuel Pressure @ 2 PSI @ WOT FIXES?

Jaime,

if you're interested in going big then I'd suggest the PE4200 like BigBlue mentioned. Andy & Doug at Advanced Diesel (www.smokindiesel.com) sell a complete kit with the lines, fittings, pump, wiring, and all necessary hardware. It's probably more expensive than most setups, but it's probably the best to date. With my setup I can't pull my westach gauge off the peg. If you're interested in staying with the stock lift pump then I'd suggest going to big banjos and a big line kit. I talked with Timinva a couple of weeks ago, and he's running a stock lift pump with the big lines and banjos along with DD3s and a PM3. He said the banjos helped only a little, but the lines made a big difference and I think they added 5 or 6 psi at WOT. The stock lines are really restrictive... especially the line from the lift pump to the filter housing. Like the others suggested, I would give Rod or Andy and Doug a call for the lines.

John

EDIT: here's the link to ADT's fuel web page:

Jaime,

The bitg thing is to get rid of your junk stock lift pump. Also stay away from carter pusher pumps, the are junk. I know people have had some good luck with them, but they just do not last.

If you plan adding more HP in the future, I would get rid of your banjo bolts, upgrade the line from the tank to -8 or bigger, and use a PE4200. You may also want to consider a 1/2" stanpipe for the tank also. There are a few people out there offering kits, or you can build your own, which is very simple to do.

I currenty l have the above system and and pushing more fuel than you, and I never drag my fuel PSI below 16 psi, and that is after fuel filter. Idle is around 19-20 PSI

I am just trying to save you some money, and some time of not having to do your fuel system twice!

Good luck!

Where can I buy just the PE 4200? I can upgrade the lines myself when I get the pump here and figure what I need. I should be able to throw the stock pump away mount the PE and hook up the bigger lines correct?

You have been lucky not to have the pump go out yet with all those bombs.

The PE4200 you can get from several places, but the place I heard of selling them first is Advanced Diesel Technoligies. Their website is www.smokindiesel.com . Andy and Doug are their names, and they were the first ones to really try this pump, and talk to the maker about warrenty, and what all we needed.

Andrew

The PE stands for Product Engineering, which is who makes the pump.

Re:Fuel Pressure @ 2 PSI @ WOT FIXES?

If you order it from them, make dead sure they know that it's going on a diesel, so that way SHOULD it die, and you want some warrenty, they can handle it. That is the reason I suggested ADT.
