worn track arm hole

I have a 98 3500 24v my problem is the tapered hole where the ball joint end of the track arm goes into I have repaced track arms and tighten them up as tight as they can get and still have movement in ball joint socket. Has any one had this happen and have any ideas about what to do, you cant replace the part its welded to frame and I doubt you can even get that. I know there is a process call line boring for heavy equipment when holes become to big but this a tapered hole. is there something available for thiskind of problem any help would be good. truck still has a lot of life left

I would switch to a 3rd gen track bar kit. It eliminates the ball joint, and gives 2 straight bushing attachments. More sturdy and shouldn't wear out as fast anyhow.

It gets moved to a new location with a bracket, good instructions here, don't really need to use that brand, several good ones out there.

Try Thuren for a trac bar upgrade or fix.

3rd gen bracket is the way to go, the worn hole wont matter as the bracket bolts thru the worn hole, and to the steering box bolts....

I was under the impression the 3rd gen set up needed the bracket welded.

Or is that just the Thuren version?
