on a 2001 with 6-speed (HX-35?) how do I go about wiring the wastegate open?it has a "edge" 85hp chip so hopfully a boost fooler.thanx

 

Do a search for "turnbuckle" and you will find pics of the device...btw, you will be wiring it closed

 

Since you have an HX-35, just call Edge and have them send you a boost elbow.

 

Actually, the Edge EZ should have come with a boost elbow in the box. Maybe the owner still has it? And, yes, the EZ has a boost fooler function built in.

With your manual trans, you don't need to go the turnbuckle route. The boost elbow that should have come with the EZ will do the trick. As stated above, they would probably just send you one if you called them. Make sure to ask for install instructions. It's easy, but might as well do it right the first time.

 

By the way, You want your WG CLOSED, not open.

With the WG open, the exhaust will bypass the turbine, and you'll have very slow spoolup, lots of lag, and lots of smoke.
