I know someone who has a re-manufactured VP-44 for an '01. Will that work on my '98.5?

Comparing what Dodge did / used in a certain year to what say Thomas school bus did or used in the same time frame, is not good way to have parts match up.

It is like saying a 2000 Chevy part will work on your 2000 Ford since they where made the same year.
