will the same VA box work on manual vs. auto?

I am getting a van aaken box in the near future.
HOWEVER, I may sell my auto and get a manual, because I no longer live in Los Angeles.
If I buy a Van Aaken box (for fuel economy only) for my auto, and then get a manual later, can I just keep the box and install it on the manual??? Or do you have to have a special box for each thing?
I prefer to keep with a 98 to 02 24 valve because my 98.5 is what I am used to.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

They work the same regardless of tranny.

That applies to most power modules.

They do have a bit of a different fueling map from the automatic version to the manual transmission version. If it is a 5spd it is the same as the automatic. But the HO 6spd version will work on the auto, just a little smokier in the bottom end. I would buy the HO version if you are planning on going to the ho 6spd down the road.
