will a manual lock up switch improve milage

I have looked at all the info on a manual lock up switch for torque converter. My question is has anyone seen a noticable milage gain in doing so currently on ulsd with 2 stroke oil my milage is a dismal 20.4 and over winter was worse..on straight #2 can get almost 25 mpg .. am looking for a legal way to improve my milage and keep truck together towing...any help would be appreciated
Bill

I like mine. The over head bumps up a few mpg when I kick it on. I have not had it long enough to make any official judgement. I would recommend a reminder light, I keep forgetting mine is on and it makes for some darn spooky stops. I saw one person was able to have theirs auto cancel when they hit the brakes but I have not come across it again.

it can certainly help, you just have to be smart about how you drive and how you use it so that you don't hurt the tranny
