Whistling at idle???

Let me preface this. I am a new owner of a CTD, so I hope this is not a stupid question.

I drove the truck for about 30 minutes, returned to my driveway and heard a whistling sound, not unlike the turbo, emanating from below the hood. I popped the hood and could hear it coming from the passenger's side of the engine ... towards the front. I let the truck idle for approximately 3-4 minutes. Towards the end of this cycle, as I was trying to determine where the noise was coming from, it stopped. What might the noise be from? I'll check to see if it happens again tomorrow.

Cheers,
Andrew

You are probably hearing the turbo spool down. If you turn off when you first stop, you will also hear it keep turning.

Go and tighten the clamps on the intercooler boot. You might have one that's slightly loose.
